The new Frigidaire cooktop, available in 36″ and 30″ widths starting this December, comes with stylish black ceramic glass, nicely accented by stainless steel panels. These induction hybrid cooktops offer 2 induction zones and up to 3 electric elements for the utmost cooking flexibility. The 30″ wide cooktop has two left-side 7″ electric elements 1.8 kW each, and two right-side induction zones with power boost – 10″ front 2.5 / 3.4 kW and 6″ rear 1.5 / 1.9 kW. We’ve been dreaming of kalua pig here at Kitchen Contraptions, and think this oval-shaped 6-1/2-quart slow cooker with integrated control panel from All Clad would do the pig justice. The All-Clad Stainless Steel slow cooker features a 26-hour programmable timer, and 3 temperature settings. Choosing flooring is a lot like choosing countertops. Which type you choose depends on the style of your kitchen, the amount of use it will get, and the price. Each type has its advantages and disadvantages.
Vinyl, linoleum and carpet are the most comfortable underfoot. Laminate, vinyl and polyurethane-treated wood are the most durable. Stone and concrete look good and are also hard-wearing, but are also harder to clean.
Decide whether you want to install flooring under your removable appliances or around them (whichever you choose, make sure you can roll them out for repairs). Talk to your designer about this.

First, Siemens brought us touchSlider cooktops and now the company has taken another bold step with introduction of induction and electric cooktops controlled by magnetic rotary disks. The new Siemens discControl system lets you control cooktops just like your MP3 player – with a slight finger touch to rotate a disk to the desired setting.
