The US Government’s Energy Star program has awarded some major appliances with a new label: Most Efficient. As we noted earlier this month, so many appliances qualify for the Energy Star label, the value has become diluted. This offers manufacturers motivation to improve efficiency.
The Energy Star program has listed the appliances that qualify for the new label under these categories:
Small Clothes Washers (2.5 cubic feet and smaller)
Large Clothes Washers (larger than 2.5 cubic feet)
Refrigerators
Televisions
